Need help giving a friend advice?

The thing here is that Jess and Mel are two grown ups that seem to be spending way too much time together, no matter what the cirstances. Jess needs to get her life together and find a room some where (hell she has a job). And since Jess is so dependent, right now, Mel feels she can treat her like a slave and well if Jess allows it, then there is nothing you nor i can say or do. BUT no one deserves to be treated like a slave no matter what you do for them. Both Jess and Mel need to re-evaluate themselves. Oh and it sounds like someone is looking for a pitty party, but don't get involved, we each are in control of our lives and the environment around us, Jess needs to open her eyes and be an adult and not just a dependent.
