Phone help? BlackJackII <--> LG Xenon?

To be honest your question was only confusing in like the last 3 sentences. Since the BlackJack II is a smartphone, you probably will need a data plan. All smartphones require data plans, and if you don't add it yourself then AT&T will automatically add it for you. I don't know what you mean "Spending money on miscellaneous things" though. You cannot stop the data plan and you are probably just missing out on like downloading things and the internet stuff.
