Alexander is a very common name (within the top 20 US male baby names in the last few years). As Aleczander is not really even a common optional spelling, you and your son will commonly be correcting people or just dealing with an incorrectly spelled name. If the spelling of the name is terribly important to you, so be it, but you should be aware of the potential problems with it going in. If you like Zander, you could still call him that as a nickname with the full first name Alexander.
