Boyfriends shady behavior....?

If you trust your boyfriend, you shouldn't be upset about him texting another girl. Texting is the lowest form of communication, and although he shouldn't have lied to you about it, if you have no reason to worry, then don't. However, due to his abuse problems as a child, it sounds like you're in an abusive relationship: the polarization (good=great; bad=terrible), the jealousy, disconnecting you from your network of friends and pinning you against a wall, and not letting you leave are not good signs in a relationship. I would ask him to see a counselor to talk about his issues, and if it gets better then great. Otherwise, you need to get out of this situation for your own comfort and safety.
